Mobile Post Office service for Oxborough
 

As of Monday 4th March 2019 we will have access to the Mobile Post Office.

Location.
The van will be parked near the bus shelter.

The times will be as follows:
Mondays & Thursday
1.40 - 1.55 p.m.

Tuesdays & Wednesdays
12.00 - 12.20 p.m.

Please spread the word and do use the service.
This service needs to be used by the community to be
commercially viable for the mobile Post office
.

Our thanks to parish councillor Graham Allison who started the ball rolling on behalf of a proposal by a resident and parish councillor David Hotchkin who finalised the arrangements with the mobile postmaster.

                                                                

Fish and chip van now stopping in Oxborough. It's due to call here between 6.30pm and 7pm, Every Wednesday it may remain longer depending on the volume of customers.

Our Village sign was originally designed by Geoffrey Lupton and Fabricated by Christopher Stocking at Bonnets.
Local volunteers have given it a face lift in what were understood to be its original colours.

Chimney fire at the Bedingfeld Arms
Satutday 1st December.

   

Villagers watched as a chimney fire kept flaring up. Five fire engines attended the scene and the fire was kept under control. No one was hurt in the incident.

At last, Oxborough get its SAM

(Speed Awareness Message) sign.

Traffic calming though the village was originally instigated over 20 month’s ago by concerned members of the community who financed the unit with their fund raising (Oxborough Community Road Safety Campaign Group) efforts and support from a NCC grant.
The sign was activated on the 1st April and is to be situated alternately at each end on the village every two weeks from now on; hopefully this will set the pattern for motorist to drive carefully through our village.

All monies( £1000) raised from these glass recycling bins remains within Oxborough.
It is used to support maintenance on our village hall.
